Anthologies

A big part of starting out as a writer is finding opportunities to get published. Often the biggest hurdle is getting that first story published.

For comic books, anthologies are the best way of getting your work out there. There are numerous anthology books being put out every year by various publishers and independent creators. This page will highlight the anthologies that I have been lucky enough to be part of. I will constantly be updating this page with crowdfunding links and other news about the many projects that I am involved in.

The printing rights to these stories are usually reserved for the publisher, so you have to get the books to read my stories. Some of them are digitally available, and some even free to read.

Publishers can contact me if they want to review these stories while assessing my portfolio.

Celestial Bodies

Legends & Lore -Anthology
Arledge Comics
2020 - TBA

This 8-page collaboration with the incredibly talented artist Maria Tche is going to bring together a haunting tale of undying love with an equally haunting vision of the future.

More details to come as the book nears completion.

arcane Inkdustries will present a great themed anthology "The Great Command Meant" in 2020, that focuses on the power and meaning of different commands interpreted through comics.

I have the great pleasure to take part in this book with a 6-page story titled "Help", in collaboration with the amazing artist Kyle Irvine. Help is a period piece about a British Lord and the bond he shares with his faithful butler.

Crowdfunding links and further previews of the comic will be posted here, so keep an eye out!

A Funk in the Road

The Swingin' Sixties, a comics school anthology
2020 - TBA- Digital first

Art by Dan Yell

This 8-page story pays loving homage to the silver age of American comics, and especially to the Stan Lee & Steve Ditko era of Doctor Strange. Groover Dark is an enigmatic rock musician, who must become a shaman of rock 'n' roll in order to break free of his creative funk! And he has to riff against a literal funk demon in the process.

A Funk in the Road is a finely crafted pastiche story, appearing in an upcoming anthology titled "Swingin' Sixties" which will raise funds for the World Health Organization. A link to the digital anthology will be updated upon publication.

Stay tuned readers!

Incandescent World

PITCH -Anthology

Irrational Comics

October 2019

Digital

PITCH is an unique anthology run by Irrational Comics. Their core idea is that writes submit a story idea for a complete 20-page one-shot, along with the first 3 pages of that story. From those pitches Irrational Comics chooses 10 entries, and they will produce the first 3-pages, creating an anthology of comic concepts.

The catch is that one of those ten concepts will get the chance to be produced into the full 20-page comic.

My story, titled "Incandescent World" will be appearing in this year's PITCH. Stay tuned for the release, and remember to vote for your favorite story!

Ancestral Homes

Originally created for

Home Sweet Home -Anthology
Corn Maze Press.

Unpublished

Art by Rafael Magat

I had the opportunity to contribute to Home Sweet Home, an anthology by Corn Maze Press. This autobiographical anthology was meant to feature a number of heartfelt stories about home.

My contribution was a 2-page script about my great-grandfather and how his art is a way for me to connect to my past even today. My story was illustrated by the talented Rafael Magat.

As with many small independent comics projects, Home Sweet Home has remained unpublished. Therefore, I have made Ancestral Homes available for reading here on my site.
